Performance in Macro Mode
The macro capabilities of the NEEWER 58mm 0.43X HD 2 in 1 Fisheye & Macro Lens are nothing short of impressive. With its ability to focus on objects as close as 4 inches (10cm), you can capture incredible levels of detail and texture. In our tests, we found that the lens was capable of producing crisp, well-defined images with minimal distortion or chromatic aberration.
In macro mode, the lens produces a unique, flat, and symmetrical field of view, making it perfect for capturing the intricate details of flowers, insects, jewelry, or even microscopic objects. We found the lens to be incredibly sensitive to lighting conditions, responding well to natural light or artificial light sources. If you’re looking to experiment with creative close-up shots, the NEEWER 58mm 0.43X HD 2 in 1 Fisheye & Macro Lens is an excellent choice.
Common Applications for Macro Mode

As with any lens, there are limitations to consider when shooting in macro mode. We found that the lens’s focusing motor can be slow at times, requiring some patience to achieve the perfect focus. Additionally, the lens is prone to dust and oil buildup, which can be a challenge to clean effectively. However, these are minor complaints, and overall, we were thrilled with the results produced by this lens in macro mode.

Unlike some other fisheye lenses, the NEEWER 58mm 0.43X HD 2 in 1 Fisheye & Macro Lens does not distort the image significantly, even at the extreme ends of the field of view.
